How often do you need to get new bras and panties?

Most experts recommend replacing your bras every six to 12 months, depending on how frequently you wear them and how well you care for them. Signs it's time for new bras include:

• Stretched-out bands
• Worn-out elastic
• Cups that no longer provide proper support
• Underwire that's poking through the fabric

For panties, you should typically replace them every 6 to 12 months as well, or sooner if you notice the fabric becoming thin, elastic losing its stretch, or staining that won't come out. If you rotate between multiple pairs regularly and wash them gently, they may last toward the longer end of this timeframe.
